Royal Zambezi Lodge, a spacious but intimate privately-owned lodge, situated in Zambia on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River just minutes from the Lower Zambezi National Park and directly opposite Zimbabwe's famous Mana Pools World Heritage Site. Royal offers the ultimate in luxury and cuisine while enjoying and participating closely in the sights and sounds of the African wilderness.

The lodge offers a vast range of activities that guests can choose from – from unrivalled game viewing, canoeing on the Zambezi river, to world class fishing, or relaxing in the award winning Royal Bush Spa. At the end of your day meet at the famous Sausage Tree bar over the river or the open air pool to tell stories of siting’s during the day, or the one that got away!

Lower Zambezi River, Zambia

The 15 airy canopied canvas tents nestle under mature trees, and each is positioned for maximum enjoyment of the surrounding views and complete privacy. The tents are impeccably finished with a contemporary, understated elegance. Natural tones, luxurious textures and comfortable armchairs create a secluded retreat. Extra length sprung mattresses with pure cotton linen and fine down pillows ensure a perfect night’s rest.

Classic Suite - Extra-length king size bed, en-suite bathroom with flush toilet and large shower. The tent is impeccably positioned and furnished with a contemporary, understated elegance.

Deluxe Suite - Offers an outdoor bath, shower and plunge pool. Two suites have an indoor lounging area and a sala overlooking the river in addition to a shower and copper roll-top bath, sunloungers and private plunge pools.

Presidential Suite - King size bed with ability to add up to 3 extra beds in the room, for children. Large with indoor lounge area, private plunge pool, outdoor shower and sala. Private deck overlooking the Zambezi River.

Family Classics (2 adjoining units) - King size bed -standard room with en-suite bathroom with flush toilet and large shower. These two Classic Suites neighbour each other with an outside communal/lounge area connecting the two so the 2 units can be booked together as a family unit for families with older children.
Rates are based on 2 adults and 2 children between 6 - 16years. 3rd child will attract a $150 per night surcharge.
